まけるな!
Since I had a fair amount of free time this summer, I watched some of the anime on my watchlist. One of my favorites ended up being Orange, which tells the bittersweet story of a group of friends who try to prevent their friend Kakeru from taking his own life. The show is sad but also wholesome and hopeful. I like this particular scene because of how the characters supportively repeat the phrase「まけるな!やくそく!」to Kakeru, which has a double meaning of telling him to promise both not to give up on the race and not to give up on living. Overall, it has a very inspirational feel when combined with the music, and I was happy that their team ended up winning.
