これは去年に見た「つれづれチルドレン」というアニメですよ。このアニメには色々なおもしろいキャラクターがありますね。The show features many different couples from the same high school, each with their own quirks. I think that the first couple (Chiaki and Kana) draws inspiration from manzai, which is a style of Japanese comedy performed by a duo. The last scene in the episode (starting at 9:54) with Sugawara and Takano has an amusing misunderstanding with wordplay that is only partially conveyed in the English subtitles. Takano uses the word「きれい」in reference to her cleaning abilities, while Sugawara thinks she's talking about her appearance and tries to compliment her. The dialogue that follows unfortunately loses the subtleties of the original, but I do think that the use of the phrase "clean up better" is clever because it has a similar double meaning to the original Japanese.
