Frieren Season 2

葬送のフリーレンというアニメのSeason 2が1月16日から見せるから、私はとっても楽しみにしています。この動画はきれいで、色々な知っているたんごが聞こえました。例えば、0:45にフェルンというキャラクターは「いいけしきですね。」と言っていました。

葬送のフリーレンはいいアニメだから、おすすめですよ。

弓道のイベント

 弓道のイベントはよかったと思います。私はたくさんのことを知ったからです。それから、先生は「あさごはんを食べなくてはいけまっせん」と言っていて、おもしろかったですよ。そして、先生はとても強そうな人ですね。

It's too bad that Ito-sensei couldn't do the live demonstration (literally 1984), but I still thought that the lecture and videos were very interesting, plus the food afterwards was good.

弓道について

Before writing this post, I didn't really know anything about kyudo outside of the fact that "yumi" is a Japanese word for "bow" (thanks to Fire Emblem Fates, which features the heavily Japan-inspired nation of Hoshido). After doing some research, though, I learned a lot. First off, there are two major, connected organizations which work to govern and support kyudo: the All-Nippon Kyudo Federation, which (as the same suggests) governs kyudo within Japan, and the International Kyudo Federation, which works globally to spread and maintain kyudo. 

As for the art of kyudo itself, it seems to be a bit different from Western archery. For one, the bows used are asymmetrical and the archer pulls the string with his or her thumb supported by the other fingers, wearing a special glove in order to do so. Also, there are eight different stages of movement leading to the release of the arrow, performed as one fluid motion. Besides that, kyudo seems to be more mentally focused on the act of shooting rather than simply trying to hit the target, which I found really interesting.

Overall, it was cool to learn more about kyudo and Japanese culture as a whole. 楽しくておもしろかったです！

ハロウィンのコスチューム

私はペルソナというゲームシリーズが大好きだから、ハロウィンに荒垣真次郎 (あらがき しんじろう) というペルソナ3のキャラクターみたいに着ていました。安くてかんたんだったから、うれしかったです。私はハンドアックスを作りたかったですが、し料がなかったから、作れませんでした。でも、カードボードで召喚器 (しょうかんき) というガンみたいな物を作れました。

あき休みについて

あき休みはちょっといそがしかったですが、よかったです。土曜日に私はフットボオルのしあいにいって、少ししゅくだいをしました。それから、日曜日にバシリカのきょう会にいって、ゆっくりしました。月曜日にノートルダム大学の校友を聞いて、買い物に行きました。そして、火曜日と水曜日にロノラロッジという場所にとまりました。ロノラロッジでうまとさんぽして、とても楽しかったです。でも、雨がふりましたから、私はかぜをひいていてざんぜんでした。水曜日の午後に帰った後で、木曜日にしゅくだいを出しなくてはいけませんでしたから、水曜日のよるにしておきました。それから、木曜日に友達といっしょにミュージアムとジャズコンサートに行きました。最後に、金曜日にてっけん８というゲームをしました。私はてっけんをするのがあまりとくいじゃないですが、楽しいです。

スパイファミリーのOP

 

先週、スパイファミリーのSeason 3がはじまりましたから、私はとてもうれしいです！この動画はOPのうたです。かなしいですが、ちょっと明るいと思います。

It was cool to recognize various words and phrases used by the singer, like 「ひをまもろう」since we recently learned 守る and the volitional form.

East Asian Culture Day

East Asian Culture Dayはとてもよかったです。私は食べ物とミルクティーがすごくおいしかったとおもいます。ビルチスさんとブラウンさんとボグナーさんとリーさんに会ったから、うれしかったです。アクティビティの中で、けんだまが一番楽しかったです。でも、十三回ぐらいでした…それより、かん国のドラムを当たるのも楽しかったです。私はちょっと書道を書きたかったですが、書くのがあまり上手じゃないんだから、書きませんでした。でも、たぶん今度、私は書いてみようと思います。来年のイベントを楽しみにしています！
